Experience & Community Roots
I’ve been teaching music for over 30 years, including 12 phenomenal years teaching locally at Take Note Studio—an experience I’m deeply grateful for. I formally trained at Music Tech in Minneapolis, studying under world-class instructors such as Mike Elliott, Bobby Stanton, and Cliff Wittstruck.
Versatility Across Styles
I teach a wide variety of styles across guitar, bass, and ukulele—including blues, jazz, worship, acoustic, and classical. I firmly believe that in order for a musician to be truly successful, they need to be versatile and adaptable.
Beyond the Studio
When I’m not in the studio teaching or recording, I love spending time outdoors fishing, enjoying life with my wife Sarah, our four kids, our new grandchild, and our dog Chewee.

Lesson Options & Monthly Rates
Weekly 30-Minute Sessions: $107.50 / month
Great for foundational growth, technique, and steady skill building.
Weekly 60-Minute Sessions: $215.00 / month
Ideal for accelerated learning, advanced technique, and multi-style development.
Billing & Enrollment Notes:
• Flat Monthly Rate: Monthly tuition is billed as an equal flat rate across the calendar year, with all scheduled studio breaks already factored in.
• Mid-Month Enrollees: For students starting mid-month, tuition for the first month will be prorated based on the number of remaining lessons.
• Annual Registration & Materials Fee: A $35.00 annual fee is applied upon enrollment to cover printed sheet music, student binders, and ongoing studio learning resources.
